Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our business growth efforts across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing the entire sales cycle, and developing technical solutions for our customers. This role requires a strong understanding of the composite manufacturing industry and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Generate New Business: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the aerospace, automotive, marine, and medical device sectors.
· Manage Sales Cycle: Oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.
· Develop Technical Solutions: Collaborate with the technical team to develop customised composite solutions that meet the specific needs of our customers.
· Prepare Sales Reports: Maintain accurate sales records and prepare regular sales reports for senior management.
· Customer Database Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive customer databases to support targeted sales and marketing efforts.
· Customer Relations: Maintain close contact with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for additional business.
· Marketing Support: Assist with the development of marketing literature and coordinate participation in exhibitions and industry events.
Person Specification, Qualifications and Experience:
· Proven track record of success in business development or sales within the composite manufacturing industry.
· Experience in one or more of the following sectors: aerospace, automotive, marine, or medical devices.
· Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical solutions.
Skills and Attributes:
· Sales Expertise: Excellent sales and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals.
· Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
· Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and persuasively.
· Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
· Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop strategic business plans.
· Self-Motivated: Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
· Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and production.
Desirable Attributes:
· Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements in the aerospace, automotive, marine, and medical device sectors.
· Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required.
