Ronan Hamill
Chief Executive Officer
Ronan is a Chemical Engineer with over 28 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
Using the experience gained during his career in senior management Ronan has overseen the strategic growth and diversification of the JANS Group companies. He is responsible for the ongoing strategic direction and governance of the Group.
Michael Rea
Chief Operating Officer
Michael is a Chartered Certified Accountant and has a strong financial, operational, and commercial background with 20+ years in the manufacturing industry. He has held key finance roles in several manufacturing companies, before moving into the recycling industry as general manager of group company BlueMac. Michael is motivated and driven on performance and high standards of delivery and thrives in bringing teams together to achieve excellence.
Samantha Thompson
Group Finance Director
Samantha Thompson is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and holds an MSc in Professional Accountancy. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, with previous roles in industries including manufacturing, FMCG, telecoms and finance consulting. Samantha’s skillset specialises in effective leadership, financial best practice and commercial finance business partnering. She is responsible for the management of the finance function across all the entities in the JANS Group.
John Elder
Commercial Operations Director JANS Composites
John has over 25 years’ experience working in the composites business and automotive industry. A master pattern maker and commercial spray painter by trade, John joined Wrightbus in 2008 where his hard work and lean ethics were quickly recognised.
He gained experience in developing processes to best suit customer needs and explored new manufacturing methods through R&D.
By 2016, John was Wrightbus’s Operations Manager of the composites division before beginning his role as Commercial and Operations Director at JANS Composites in 2019.
Gerard Galvin
Managing Director ETRUX
Gerard brings considerable automotive experience to ETRUX. He has a wealth of knowledge in the conversion of commercial vehicles and has an extensive network in the automotive industry. Gerard previously spent 10+ years in the Donnelly Group of motors in its TBC division. Gerard is responsible for the growth of ETRUX including spearheading a ground-breaking model called EVolve which offers a 360° solution for public authorities and vehicle operators to transition fleets from diesel to electric vehicles as part of the NI Economy’s new Energy Strategy.
Gavin Kincaid
Managing Director JANS Modular
With a background in engineering and design, Gavin spent the first decade of his career with an industry leading supplier within the construction sector. Starting in the role of a design engineer, he eventually grew to the position of General Manager. During this period he gained a broad range of experiences and developed skillsets focusing on operations, technical, logistics and customer care. After several years spent in England working alongside some of the largest housebuilders in the UK, Gavin eventually moved back to Northern Ireland and joined the team at JANS in December 2020 to help develop and grow the modular division.
Neil Jarvis
Managing Director JANS Lifestyle
Neil has a wealth of knowledge of the UK and European Motorhome/Campervan rental and sales market having worked for nine years in the hospitality and leisure industry for a leading Leisure Vehicle Hire Group. His experience spanned across all three companies within that Group, starting with a Regional Management role in the Hire business before being strategically appointed to grow the VW campervan conversion business as General Manager. In 2016 he was appointed National Sales Manager for the Group where he was responsible for the sales expansion and strategy of both new and used vehicles in keeping with company objectives.
Gary McAreavey
Construction Director
With over 30 years’ experience in manufacturing and operations management, Gary has held a number of senior positions in many different sectors including aerospace, medical and plastics recycling and extrusion.
Edel Healy
Head of Team Support
A service focussed individual, Edel is Head of Team Support at the JANS Group and brings to the role a wealth of experience.
Throughout her career, she has worked for a number of well-known companies including Marks & Spencer as well as owning her own catering business, where she worked in partnership with the Livestock and Meat Commission for Northern Ireland (LMCNI) and North Antrim Community Network.
Edel joined the JANS Group in 2019 and with a talent for building productive working relationships, she was initially responsible for People and Finance before being appointed as Head of Team Support in May 2022.
Martin Brammeld
Business Excellence Manager
A quality professional with extensive experience, Martin Brammeld is JANS Group’s Business Excellence Manager.
Throughout his career, Martin has held various roles across numerous sectors including automotive, composites, off road, rail, medical and the food and drink industry. He has also worked for a number of notable companies including Creative Composites and RYOBI Aluminium Casting Ltd, where he had the opportunity to travel to Japan to complete personal development training.
Alongside a meticulous attention to detail, Martin brings to the role an ability to apply lean manufacturing techniques that drive efficiency and effectiveness as well as cost reduction.
Ciaran McCarney
General Manager, blueMAC
Ciaran has over 30 years of experience in customer facing roles working within the industrial products’ market, both domestic and international.
More recently, Ciaran’s roles have centred on the leadership of dynamic teams and driving business development for profitable growth.
Ciaran joined JANS Group in July 2023 as the General Manager of blueMAC, an expert design company in the supply of turnkey recycling solutions for the waste industry.
