Position Overview
The Composite Quality Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of composite products throughout the manufacturing process. This position requires a strong understanding of composite materials, inspection techniques, and industry standards. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to quality control, ensuring that all products meet the stringent quality requirements of JANS Composites and our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection of Composite Parts:
- Conduct thorough inspections of composite materials and components at various stages of the manufacturing process, including raw materials, in-process, and final product inspections.
- Use precision measurement tools and equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, and conformance to specifications.
- Quality Control Processes:
- Implement and maintain quality control processes in alignment with industry standards and company policies.
- Develop and update inspection plans, checklists, and quality control documentation.
- Defect Identification and Reporting:
- Identify, document, and report any defects or non-conformances found during inspections.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all products comply with applicable industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities.
- Audits and Supplier Quality:
- Participate in internal audits and assist in preparing for external audits.
- Conduct supplier quality assessments and collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Training and Development:
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in composite materials and quality inspection methods.
Qualifications / Experience:

- Previous experience in quality inspection, with a focus on composite materials.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and inspection techniques.
- Proficient in the use of inspection tools
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Certifications:
- Certification in Quality Inspection (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector) is a plus.
- NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) certification in composites is advantageous.
